Richard Emanuel

Richard Emanuel was born and educated in Scotland. He is a self-made business man with a successful career in the Technology / Beauty & Apparel sectors. He founded his first company DX Communications Limited in 1993 which grew from a small start up to a business employing in excess of 1000 people. In October 1999 he successfully sold this company to British Telecom. In June 2000 he received an MBE from HRH Queen Elisabeth II for services to industry. In 2001, he relocated to Monaco where he has lived for the last 15 years. He has 2 young children with his main business locations being Monaco, Paris, London & New York. He is active in the wellness and swimwear / resortwear sectors. Amongst his investments he owns Lumity ( lumitylife.com ) an anti-ageing / beauty supplement and is also relaunching the iconic French brand Réard (www.reard.com) which was famous for “inventing” the bikini in 1946. He is also active in the Monaco business community and is past Chairman of the Monaco Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization ( www.ypo.org) In addition to his business activities he is involved in a number of Charitable / Not for Profit organizations.
